Clip of the Week-"Two Roads To Travel" Brother Horace Curry At the 1975 Camp Meeting, Bro. Horace Curry Sr. preached a sermon on the road of holiness vs. the road of sin and gave a tremendous call to sinners to make a start for God before it was too late. On a personal note, my parents have often told me of what a loving, caring soul Bro Horace was, and that he visited their apartment just after I was born and prayed a “beautiful prayer” over me. He died not long after. I often wonder what he prayed for that day and have often desired that I could have known him. She recommends the joy that comes with salvation! A little of the world and we’ll lose the sweetness of the Spirit, but strive to enter in at the straight gate. The Lord can congeal the waters blocking serving the Lord and lead across on dry land like he did the children of Israel. There remains a rest to the people of God! In the 2017 Wilmington Feast Meeting, Bro. Jeff Price reminds us that Jesus’ life had an undeniably more profound impact than any man with just his spoken word. After the miracles of the loaves and fishes, Jesus said “Labor not for the meat that perisheth”. As they were seeking food, we can also seek to serve God for the benefits and blessings, rather than being motivated by sincere love, sacrifice, true commitment, and service from the heart. Without His drawing and the true love of God, would-be Christians will disperse as the crowds did when the loaves and fishes ended. When the crowd left, it didn’t seem to bother Jesus; he understood their heart. The question Jesus asked his disciples still applies today; “Will you also go away?” – Bro. David Cosby

The Spirit is absolutely necessary and completely sufficient; we need it in everything we do and require nothing else. We don’t control the Spirit, but when we follow, as the children of Israel followed the Pillar of Fire and Cloud; the Spirit falls like fire on Mt.
