For our first episode we speak with author and journalist Taylor Lorenz, a current columnist for the Washington Post, who covers internet culture and technology. Her recent book, Extremely Online: The Untold Story of Fame, Influence and Power on the Internet, is a social history of the internet—revealing how online influence and the creators who amass it have reshaped our world, online and off. For this episode, we visit Anna while on house arrest, and speak with her about the pitfalls of notoriety and scandal, how the media has depicted her, and being an early influencer.
