The Washington Nationals made Miami Marlins' starter Brad Hand throw 41 pitches in a three-run fifth as they rallied to take a 3-2 lead and Bryce Harper hit a two-run blast in the seventh, making it 5-2 Nats with his 41st home run of the 2015 campaign. 

Max Scherzer and Jose Fernandez went head to head at the start, but the Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins were tied at 4-4 after nine before Jose Lobaton hit a sac fly to left-center to bring in the winning run. 5-4 Nats over the Fish in the nation's capital. 

The Washington Nationals can't afford losses at this point, but they dropped their third game against the Miami Marlins in the last four matchups with their NL East rivals. The Fish took the series opener in D.C., 6-4, after taking two of three in Miami last week. Tanner Roark struggled again in his second straight outing against the Marlins.

Washington Nationals' right-hander Stephen Strasburg matched his career high in strikeouts with 14 Ks total tonight and Bryce Harper homered twice, leaving him one shy of 40 as the Nats beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-0, for their second straight win in Citizens Bank Park. Dominant stuff from Strasburg.

Miami Marlins' right-hander Jose Fernandez improved to (16-0) in his first 25 career starts in Marlins Park in a 2-0 win over the Washington Nationals, who dropped their fifth straight overall. Tanner Roark put together a solid outing, but the Nationals' offense came up empty again... The Marlins won their fourth in a row.

Stephen Strasburg struck out 13 in a dominant performance, but gave up a game-tying home run in the eighth and Drew Storen came on and served up a go-ahead home run by Yoenis Cespedes as the New York Mets rallied again and swept the Nats with a 5-3 win in Nationals Park.

The Washington Nationals took a 7-1 lead with a four-run sixth but gave it all back in a disaster of a seventh inning in which the New York Mets rallied for a six-run inning against the Nats' bullpen, tying it up at 7-7 before a pinch hit HR by Kirk Nieuwenhuis in the eighth put them ahead for good, 8-7. Complete, utter, failure. 

The Washington Nationals rallied to take a 5-3 lead with a five-run fourth, but the New York Mets tied it up and took an 8-5 decision in the series opener in the nation's capital. Max Scherzer struggled again and continued to give up home runs in a tough loss to the NL East division leaders. 

The Washington Nationals knocked Atlanta Braves' righty Shelby Miller around and handed their NL East rivals their 11th straight loss in an 8-2 game tonight in Nationals Park. Bryce Harper went 3 for 4 with his 33rd home run and two doubles in the win. Gio Gonzalez put together a solid start in D.C

The Washington Nationals rallied to tie it at 2-2 on an RBI single by Matt den Dekker in the ninth and Michael Taylor beat the Atlanta Braves with a walk-off, three-run home run to left-center. 5-2 final in the nation's capital. M-A-T! Nats win a big one in Nationals Park.

The Washington Nationals scored 15 runs on 18 hits in a 15-1 win over the Atlanta Braves in the nation's capital. Bryce Harper walked four times and scored three runs. Ryan Zimmerman went 3 for 3 with two more doubles. Jordan Zimmermann gave up two hits and one runs in six innings. 15-1? 15-1?

Ryan Zimmerman hit two home runs for four total in three games in Busch Stadium, then hit an RBI double to put the  Washington Nationals ahead for good in a 4-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Nats avoid the sweep with a win in the series finale.

The Washington Nationals took a 5-3 lead into the eighth St. Louis Cardinals but ended up losing an 8-5 decision to the St. Louis Cardinals on a walk-off home run by Brandon Moss in the ninth. 8-5 final in Busch Stadium. It's the Nats' ninth straight loss in St. Louis. 

Stephen Strasburg left the game early, and the Washington Nationals were down 3-0 after one, but the Nats rallied for a 7-4 win over the Miami Marlins and took two of three in the weekend set in D.C. Unfortunately, the New York Mets salvaged their series finale with the Boston Red Sox, so the Nationals remain 5.5 game back in the NL East.

The Washington Nationals picked up a game on the New York Mets. The Nats' 5-1 win over the Miami Marlins, which featured home runs by Ryan Zimmerman, Clint Robinson and Ian Desmond, left them 5.5 games back in the NL East with 34 games left to play. Jordan Zimmermann was sharp-ish in D.C., earning his third straight win.

The Washington Nationals dropped the series opener to the Miami Marlins, 4-3, in the nation's capital. Max Scherzer gave up an RBI double, two home runs and four runs total in his third straight loss. The Nats battled back, but fell a run short, leaving them 64-63 overall on the year.

The Washington Nationals, behind another solid start by Joe Ross, beat the San Diego Padres, 4-2, to take two of three in the nation's capital. Jayson Werth and Ryan Zimmerman homered, but Yunel Escobar and Michael Taylor left the game with injuries. 

The San Diego Padres jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the nation's capital, but the Washington Nationals battled back and got within one run in the seventh when an ill-advised swing at a 3-0 pitch resulted in a rally-killing double play. The Nats' three-game win streak ended with a 6-5 loss. 

The Washington Nationals won their third straight game overall for the first time since mid-July. Stephen Strasburg put together a solid start. Ryan Zimmerman hit a grand slam. And the Nats took the series opener with the San Diego Padres, 8-3 final in the nation's capital.

The Washington Nationals knocked veteran right-hander Matt Garza around again and took two of three from the Milwaukee Brewers in D.C. with a 9-5 win this afternoon in the nation's capital. Jordan Zimmermann worked with what he had and the Nats' bats came through again.
