Psalm 116:1-19 1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.  2 Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.  3The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow.  4 Then I called on the name of the LORD: “LORD, save me!”  5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.  6 The LORD protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me.  7 Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.  8 For you, LORD, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,  9 that I may walk before the LORDin the land of the living.  10 I trusted in the LORD when I said, “I am greatly afflicted”;  11 in my alarm I said, “Everyone is a liar.”  12 What shall I return to the LORDfor all his goodness to me?  13I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.  14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORDin the presence of all his people.  15Precious

Psalm 139:7-12 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 if I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 eve the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Psalm 130:1-8 1 Out of the depths I cry to you, LORD;  2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.  3 If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?  4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.  5 I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.  6 I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.  7 Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.  8 He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

Psalm 37:1-4 1 Do not fret because of those who are evil     or be envious of those who do wrong; 2 for like the grass they will soon wither,     like green plants they will soon die away. 3 Trust in the Lord and do good;     dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Take delight in the Lord,     and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 31:14-24 14 But I trust in you, LORD; I say, “You are my God.”  15 My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.  16 Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.  17 Let me not be put to shame, LORD, for I have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and be silent in the realm of the dead.  18 Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous.  19 How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.  20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues.  21 Praise be to the LORD, for he showed me the wonders of his love when I was in a city under siege.  22 In my alarm I said, “I am cut off from your sight!” Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.  23 Love the LORD,

Psalm 91:9-16 9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 33:1-5 1 Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. 2 Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. 3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. 4 For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. 5 The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.

Psalm 25:1-7 1 In you, Lord my God,     I put my trust. 2 I trust in you;     do not let me be put to shame,     nor let my enemies triumph over me. 3 No one who hopes in you     will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those     who are treacherous without cause. 4 Show me your ways, Lord,     teach me your paths. 5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,     for you are God my Savior,     and my hope is in you all day long. 6 Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,     for they are from of old. 7 Do not remember the sins of my youth     and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me,     for you, Lord, are good.

Psalm 123:1-4 1 I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven.  2 As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he shows us his mercy.  3 Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt.  4 We have endured no end of ridicule from the arrogant, of contempt from the proud.

They are like chaff that the wind blows away.  5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.  6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.    

Psalm 139:1-6 1 You have searched me, LORD, and you know me.  2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.  3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.  4 Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.  5 You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.  6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.   

Psalm 148:1-14 1 Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights  above.  2 Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts.  3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.  4 Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.  5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for at his command they were created,  6 and he established them for ever and ever— he issued a decree that will never pass away.  7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,  8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding,  9 you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,  10 wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds,  11 kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth,  12 young men and women, old men and children.  13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.  14 And he has raised

Psalm 122:1-9 1 I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” 2 Our feet are standing in your gates, Jerusalem. 3 Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together. 4 That is where the tribes go up— the tribes of the Lord— to praise the name of the Lord according to the statute given to Israel. 5 There stand the thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David. 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. 7 May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels. 8 For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” 9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.
