When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, He used the events of the day to illustrate to us, His followers, how He deserves our entire heart, not just a piece of it.

Jesus has invested in us. What are we doing with His treasure?

Yield you self-righteousness and sel-reliance. Yield your own plans to follow His plans. Ultimately, the answer is not anything the young man or you could do, but Jesus Himself will lay down His life and be raised on the third day to rescue we who are helpless.

The Triune God sent the Son. Not the Father, not the Spirit. So why? We look at several reasons it was the Son sent from heaven.

Jesus healed 10 men but only one returned to thank Him. It makes us wonder about ourselves... are we more like the 9 ingrates, or do we bring Him the thanksgiving He is worth?

Jesus asks us to do some hard things. The good news is, He has already given His followers enough faith and strength to do all that He has commanded.

Jesus calls His followers to forgive each other when the offender repents. We should not cause or encourage each other to sin. Rather we should guard our own hearts and call each other to account when sin is committed. When one turns back to truth and asks for our forgiveness, it is our God-given privilege to release them and treat them as if they had never harmed us.

One of Jesus greatest stories was that of Lazarus and the Rich Man in which He warns us of the two very different eternal destinations for all mankind. This great sorting relies entirely on whether we live this life with God or whether we live it apart from Him.

If you want Jesus to be your savior, He needs to also be your Lord and Master. Here in Luke, Jesus invites us to chase Him with relentless passion. Are there things drawing your attention away from your one Master?

What do a sheep, a coin, and a boy have in common? They all go lost in three stories Jesus shares. His point is that when missing things get found, we all celebrate! It is the same way with God and His people when a lost person is found and restored to God.

A genuine disciple is one who presents himself to his new master teacher and renounces all his old way of life.

Jesus takes the invitation to a party as the opportunity to entice people to a greater party around the heavenly table.
