The law isn't sin, but it reveals our sin and inability to do anything about it. God gave the law to convict us of sin and bring us to the end of ourselves so we'd run to Christ for salvation. He didn't give us the law to make us good, but to show us we can't be good without God.

When you become a Christian, you enter into a covenant relationship with Jesus. That changes everything. Grace changes everything.

God's commands are good. The enemy makes them look binding and boring like they're cramping your style. But, God's commands are always for our good and His glory.

Knowing doctrine and theology is vital to knowing who you are so you can be who you are. Many believers continue to struggle with the same sins over and over, year after year because they don’t KNOW who they are. Christian living is dependant upon Christian learning. Duty follows doctrine. If you’re spiritually ignorant, you’re going to be spiritually impotent.

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?

It seems too good that Jesus took punishment and I get the benefits. So, in 12-21, Paul talks about one of the most important aspects of justification. Theologically, it’s called imputation.

Before we can grasp how glorious God's love for us really is, we must first understand how unlovable we really are.

We receive amazing benefits and privileges when our condemnation is exchanged for justification.

Scripture commands all believers to be baptized, extroverts and introverts. No matter what culture or spiritual background. No matter if it costs you friends or life. Jesus said if you follow Him, you’re to be baptized publicly to proclaim the gospel and that you’re on His team.

Jesus’ ministry begins with a wedding party and ends with a wedding party. He says blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. Blessed are you if you’re saved. If you’re not, today, you have an invitation to the party, to feast with Jesus and be forgiven and made new.

As believers this is our call. We are not called to tweek the message of God or our Biblical convictions in pursuit of relevance. We are to deliver the message of God to those who do not know him. This is our concern. Obedience is our concern. God works through our obedience For Our Good and His Glory.

We are never too old to be about God's calling in our lives. He has called us to obedience no matter the circumstance. When God has called you to do something, drop the safety nets, drop the backup plan, and pursue God with all your heart.

Obedience is needed, not excuses. When we step into obedience, it’s the great I AM, the Holy Spirit, who is working through us. He is the one who is equipping us at that moment. He is the one giving power to our actions and the truth to our words. We are “Equipped, not Excused.”

Today, we are going to spend our time gazing in wonder at the I AM. Let's be a church that is in awe of who God really is, not what we feel like He should be.

You must decide. Each moment is a defining moment. You have to make a choice. Decide this day.

In our culture, faith is seen a crutch for the weak. But, this passage says faith belongs to the brave and daring, those who put it all on the line and take risks because you fight fear with faith.

Every moment has meaning because God is sovereign. He's the author and cause of all situations, even though we might not understand it. Nothing is arbitrary.

Missionaries are not just people who cross the pond. Missionaries are people who cross the line of faith. Membership is not about coming to church and receiving all the benefits. Membership is about joining God in His global mission to redeem the nations.

Transformation always involves the cross. And transformation makes the ordinary extraordinary.

Abraham’s faith was not rooted in himself but in the promise of God. This is why salvation can be guaranteed. It does not rest upon our merit. Our inability is made perfect in Christ crucified. When man is weak. When we deserve wrath, when sin grips... God is able.
