Duke did it again! They walked out of John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville with an 80-62 win over the Virginia Cavaliers, the largest victoy Duke has had in that gym. We recap it almost immediately after the game on Episode 695. UVA made Duke work for it, but Duke was able to overcome it with rebounding and tough defense. They also were making shots and it was thrill to watch so many guys contribute in different ways. Cooper Flagg was Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel really did well in the paint, and Isaiah Evans was Showtime Slim. Each of them had 17 points each to pace Duke, and we talk about their contributions and so much more! The Duke Blue Devils return to the court on Saturday afternoon when they welcome the Stanford Cardinal to town. We preview the game on DBR Bites #91. Duke had no trouble beating the Cal Bears in Cameron on Wednesday night and it is a real testament to the quality of these Blue Devils that the Duke Basketball Roundup crew didn't start out their recap podcast by raving about how great the game way. Ho hum, another relaxing Duke victory where the outcome was never in doubt. The Duke Basketball Roundup crew has a breakdown of one of the more complete efforts we've seen all year from Duke, an 83-54 dismantling of Syracuse. From the stellar defense to the crisp ball movement on offense, Duke was in control throughout this one.
