#781 - Terrible Time versus Texas Tech
21/12/2025 Duración: 59minOrdinarily, 11-1 against this non-conference slate would be a cause for celebration, but the way that 1 loss happened is hitting hard for Duke fans. The Duke Basketball Roundup gives you a deep dive into the 82-81 loss to Texas Tech including words of praise for Duke's bench players and some pretty strong criticism of Duke's shortcomings in the "details" like free-throw shooting and focus. Jason and Donald take a long look at the 17-point blown lead and what it says about the team moving forward. Will this game go down as a confluence of unlikely stuff that won't happen again or is it a sign of some fundamental problems Duke needs to fix? Learn more about your ad choices. #780 - Turnovers Turn Cameron Into A Bakery
17/12/2025 Duración: 49minWell, that was an interesting game. On Episode 780, we recap the Duke win over Lipscomb where the theme was turnovers and sloppy play. Now, there was still some good from this game, and in a 24-point win, we still lead with it. Jon Scheyer became the fastest ACC coach to 100 wins, we saw some good play from our point guards and Darren Harris, and Maliq Brown and Isaiah Evans provided sparks. We then get to the stuff to improve, and it’s clearly the sloppy play and turnovers. Rust was present, but it wasn’t in the shooting where it normally lives. It was in the bad decisions with the basketball and, with credit to Lipscomb’s game plan, rushing every possession and every decision. We discuss the sloppy play and the fouls and everything else before we discuss our play of the game to close things out. Make sure you’re following us! DBR Bites #125 - Up Next, Bisons Come To Town
14/12/2025 Duración: 34minWith the exam break wrapping up, Duke hoops turns its attention to the Lipscomb Bisons out of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Lipscomb is probably the best non-power conference team Duke will face this season and is coming off a year in which they won their league and made the NCAA tourney as a #14 seed. The Duke Basketball Roundup gives you a preview of what you need to know about the Bisons and what to look for from Duke as the team tries to knock off some rust after 10-days off. After the break, the guys dive into some recruiting news -- namely the word that Duke appears to be the leader for elite 5-star PG Deron Rippey, Jr. What would his commitment mean for the 26-27 Blue Devils? #779 - Ten Games In...
11/12/2025 Duración: 01h15minThe Duke Blue Devils are on exam break, so the Duke Basketball Roundup figured this would be a good time to take a critical look at where the team is after their first ten games. Jason and Donald bring back frequent guest Jordan Brenner (of ESPN, SI, and Underdogs fame) to answer some questions about how the season is going so far. This is not a session of rah-rah cheerleading about the fact that the team is undefeated, the guys take a hard look at what has worked, what has not, and what Jon Scheyer and the coaching staff are thinking about as they get ready for the rest of the season. #777 - ACC FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS!
07/12/2025 Duración: 45minWhat a Saturday! It was so great, we had to break them up into separate podcasts, which we give to you together! On Episode 777, we discuss Duke Football winning the ACC title over Virginia, its first ACC football title since 1989. Scott Rich joins Donald and Jason for both episodes to make it a ton of fun. First, it’s the football, where Duke overcame all odds and every cynic to avenge a November loss to the Virginia Cavaliers, taking them out in overtime to claim Duke’s first ACC football title since 1989 and first outright title since 1962. It was a phenomenal effort and some great calls during the game to win the title, and we love that this team fought through all it did to emerge as the ACC champions. They may not be in the playoff, but they can’t take that feeling away! Next, you’ll switch to the other episode and get the basketball recap as Duke took out Michigan State at the hostile Breslin Center. It was a hard fought, physical game, but Duke was able to move to 10-0 on the season and hold perhap

#775 - Preparing for the Gators and…an ACC Championship Game?!
01/12/2025 Duración: 01h09sWe’re back with Episode 775 where we begin with our preview of the Florida Gators and NO WE DON’T! DUKE’S IN THE ACC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! All plans to start with the Florida preview were thrown out the window the second a SMU kicker sent his potential game-tying field goal yards right of the uprights, sending Duke to its second ever ACC title game. We have to lead with the events that led up to that moment and how Duke took out Wake Forest to set up this possibility. This weekend will be a championship weekend (Women’s Soccer in the College Cup, Duke Football in the ACCCG) with a Duke-Sparty matchup, and we will preview that in full later this week. More immediately ahead of us is the ACC-SEC Challenge matchup with the defending national champions, who come into Cameron on the struggle bus, but are still a strong opponent. We get into how they’ve done, what the metrics say about them and what we’ve seen from their players. We then get into the things to watch as that game takes place on Tuesday (and the team

#774 - Hog-tied in Chicago, Duke stomps Arkansas
28/11/2025 Duración: 01h08minThe Duke Basketball Roundup is breathing a huge sigh of relief after the Blue Devils took down a spirited and extremely talented Arkansas club in a Thanksgiving night matchup that was non-stop thrills. As Jason and Donald tell us, this was more than just the Cameron Boozer show as Duke's Player of the Year candidate got help from unexpected places like Caleb Foster and Nik Khamenia. The back and forth contest also showed that perhaps one thing that separates this Duke club from last year's stellar bunch is the ability to close out games in the clutch. #773 - Brotherhood Run Ends With Bison Burgers
24/11/2025 Duración: 50minWe return with Episode 773 to recap a great weekend on the basketball court and the football field! Duke Men’s Basketball finished out the weekend with a 93-56 victory over Kenny Blakeney, Nate James, and the Howard Bison. We discuss some of the takeaways from the game, which lived in the 58 paint points Duke had! We discuss some of the things to improve as we look ahead to a big week and hand out Play of the Game and Player of the Week honors. After the break, we shift to the football, as Todd Pelino became the hero in a 32-25 Duke win over UNC. Duke took care of the football and made some great plays, but it was the gutsy fake field goal call late in the game that has us so happy. And…dare I say the ACC Championship Game hopes are not dead just yet! Make sure you’re following us! DBR podcast hosts Jason and Donald were impressed with the defense, the shooting, the depth, and passing and just about everything else Duke put on display in this game. They also enjoyed listening to Jim Boeheim, who was in full comedian mode much of the game. The latest edition of the Duke Basketball Roundup also dives into other ACC action from Friday, including 4 important matchups in which the ACC went an impressive 4-0. There is little question the ACC is significantly better and deeper than it was last year. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

20/11/2025 Duración: 01h02minWe’re back with Episode 771 to recap Duke’s big win against Kansas in the Champions Classic! They highlight performances from Cam and Cayden Boozer, Pat Ngongba and Isaiah Evans. In a big time game under the bright lights, they performed bright. DBR Bites #121 - Jayhawk Showdown Coming
17/11/2025 Duración: 42minDuke has a big game on Tuesday in Madison Square Garden. The Duke Basketball Roundup is here with a preview of everything you need to know about the Kansas Jayhawks, including the uncertain status of their star freshman Darryn Peterson. The Jayhawks are a different team without Peterson and it robs all of us of a huge matchup with Cameron Boozer... but Kansas is still dangerous and Duke will need to bring focus to a big time, national TV matchup. After the break, Jason and Donald dive into the end (probably) of Duke's ACC championship football dream. They discuss what went wrong in that dispiriting loss to Virginia.
