A graduate of The Ohio State University, Dr. Piehowicz has practiced veterinarian medicine for over 15 years. He has held many positions in racing, and was a trainer at one point in his career. Dr. Piehowicz is an advocate for racing safety, and a well respected member of his profession.

Bill hails from Philadelphia, and has been a life long athlete. He has ridden professionally for many years, and has since hung up his tack. He now is the Assistant Racing Secretary at Indiana Downs, and also the fill-in State Steward. His ultimate goal is to be a full time Steward, and make his way into the management of racing. Mr. Troilo will talk about the day to day life of a rider, and his role now being on the other side of the game. He will be able to paint a full picture of the world of Thoroughbred racing. From his days as a Hall of Fame athlete, to working in every facet of racing, Troilo has been a colorful and respected player in the sport.

Mr. Picklesimer is the Director of Racing at Colonial Downs. Tyler oversees all things racing, and will talk about the meet, and how the runners are playing on the turf. This weekend is the running of the $500,000 Colonial Turf Cup and Tyler will discuss the upcoming race with our host. Mr. Picklesimer is a fixture on the Kentucky circuit and well known throughout the industry.

Our host Ed Meyer will do an in-depth exploration of the wealth of information on WP site. He will dscuss the different features and what makes WP a totally different experience. Pistol Pete Aiello will also call in to impart with some tips on upcoming races.

Mr. Summers writes for the Buffalo News and has covered many years of the Triple Crown trail. He writes a column called The Happy Handicapper. The focus of the show will beon the upcoming 142nd Belmont Stakes to be run this Saturday June 5th at Belmont Racetrack. John Engelhardt, who has been many times on the show, will handicap with our host the Belmont Stakes undercard.

His win percentages at Ohio tracks are extremely high, and he is a versatile trainert who excels with young runners, turf horses, and bringing horses to his barn fresh off the claim. In addition to being an excellent horseman, Mr. Cowans is an excellent spokesman for the industry, and is a supporter of safety for horses and riders in the sport. Mr. Cowans is currently winning at 43%, and has a very strong stable to reckon with in the midwest.

Mr. Battaglia will talk about his experience as an announcer at Latonia, Turfway Park, Churchill Downs. He sets the morning line for many tracks, and is an analyst for NBC. Mike has been publishing his selections for years, and is considered one of the best handicappers in the game. And most importantly, Mr. Battaglia will also give us a breakdown on the Derby field, with a sneak peak into the odds for Derby 136.

Mr. Elliston has been president and CEO of Turfway Park since June 1999, shortly after the track was purchased by Keeneland Association, Harrah's Entertainment, and GTECH Corporation. An avid horse racing enthusiast his entire adult life, Mr. Elliston currently serves as executive chair of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association Board of Directors and is treasurer of the Kentucky Equine Education Project(KEEP)Board. He also serves on the National Thoroughbred Racing Association. Mr. Elliston will talk about the upcoming $500,000 Lane's End Stakes, and the issues facing the industry.

DRF columnist and handicapper Marty McGee covers the Kentucky and Gulfstream circuits. He will break down last week's races, and talk about the sport as a whole. Ramon began riding horses at age 16 in Venezuela, despite the strong disapproval of his father, who wanted him to become a doctor. At his father’s suggestion, he started to learn show jumping instead, but after about a year he slipped away to a nearby training center, where he began getting on racehorses. After about a week, his father found out and ended up “being very supportive.” Dominguez, however, had to promise to finish high school.
