Sinopsis

Calvary Chapel Sydney is a church located in Castle Hill, Sydney Australia. We are committed to loving and accepting all people. We are a Christian church and we enjoy a casual, family atmosphere. We teach through the Bible verse by verse to receive the whole counsel of God. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This rest Jesus promises is what we offer to all through the Gospel. Our purpose is to love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

  • Ephesians 1:1-6 Blessings in Christ

    22/01/2023 Duración: 48min

Synopsis: God has revealed Himself through His Word, and through the person of Jesus Christ, so we can know and follow Him. God has revealed in Paul’s letter to the Ephesian church that we are blessed with ‘every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places’ because we are ‘in Christ’. However, we may not realise the significance of these blessings and we can live our lives as if we’re spiritually poor when we’re actually spiritually rich beyond measure. Considering the implications of these spiritual blessings should cause us to draw closer to God and trust in Him more, ‘to the praise of His glory’ Verses in order of appearance: Romans 10:9 Ephesians 1:1-2 Ephesians 1:3 Ecclesiastes 2:10-11 Ephesians 1:4 Revelations 2:5 Philippians 1:6 Hebrews 10:14 Romans 8:1 Colossians 1:19-22 Ephesians 1:5 Galatians 4:6-7 Deuteronomy 7:7-8 Deuteronomy 9:6 Ephesians 1:6

    15/01/2023 Duración: 43min

Synopsis: As Jacob headed back to his father Isaac's house, he was met by angels. Ironically the encouragement of the miracle was short-lived as he was confronted with meeting his brother Esau and the 400 men with him. He met a Man who wrestled with him and Jacob ended up with a new name, a blessing, and a limp--a living example of paradoxes of the Christian faith. Verses in order of appearance: Genesis 32:1-5 Genesis 32:6-8 Mark 4:38-41 Genesis 32:9-12 2 Corinthians 1:20-22 Genesis 32:13-20 John 1:11-13 Genesis 32:21-25 Hosea 12:3-5 Hosea 12:6 Genesis 32:26-32 Hosea 6:1-3
