Tonight we'll continue our discussion of crimes against children from the media perspective. My guests will be reporter TJ Hart of Florida talk radio station The Sky at 97.3 FM. Joining TJ will be Simon and Jan Barrett of Blogger News Network and Blog Talk Radio.

Tonight we'll discuss the verdict in the Phil Spector trial and crimes against children, with a focus on the Haleigh Cummings case. Renowned private investigator Vito Colucci will be a special guest panelist.

My guest is former Genovese crime family associate Tony "Nap" Napoli. Tony is the author of My Father, My Don - a son's journey from organized crime to sobriety.

My guests are Paul Scharff and Holly Hager. Paul is the son of Ronald Scharff, a Lakemoor, Illinois tavern owner whom was murdered along with his barmaid Patricial Freeman in June 1981. The murders have remained unsolved for nearly 28 years. Holly is Paul's former babysitter. Last summer she read a former mobster's biography in which the murders were described and a killer named. As a result, authorities have renewed their investigation. Tonight we'll discuss the case and the status of the police investigation.

My guest is Robert Allen. Robert has been an entertainer and businessman in Las Vegas since the mid-1970s. He is the producer of the Vegas Mob Tour, a two and a half hour bus tour that runs nightly out of the Royal resort on COnvention Center Drive.

Tonight we'll discuss the recent verdict in the second Phil Spector trial. Veteran trial-watchers from Juror Thirteen will analyze the evidence and the verdict.

My guest is sci-fi writer Mark Eller. We'll discuss his newly released book Traitor, the first book in The Turner Chronicles.

Tonight's topic will be the Sean Fitzpatrick case. The New Hampshire man was charged with slaying two men in March 2006. His first trial ended in mistrial in August 2008. In February Fitzpatrick was convicted on two counts of first degree murder at retrial. This was and continues to be a controversial and emotionally charged case.

My guest today is Diane Fanning. Diane is the author of eight true crime books. Her book, Written In Blood, was nominated for the Edgar Allen Poe award. But the most fulfilling thing for her as a true crime writer was the role she played in finding justice for wrongfully convicted Julie Rea Harper. The story was featured on the TV program 20/20. Diane is also very gratified with the email she’s received from staff at Domestic Violence Shelters around the country who’ve called her book, Gone Forever, an important book for women.

On September 10, 2007, the dead body of six-year-old Hanna Mack was found hanging from the rafters a garage near her home in Texas. She was naked from the waist down and had been sexually abused. Today I'm going to discuss Hanna's tragic death and the broader problem of crimes against children with Heather Steele and Robin Sax. Heather is the President and CEO of the Innocent Justice Foundation, which supports law enforcement efforts to investigate and prosecute sex crimes involving children. Robin is a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney who specializes in prosecuting sex crimes against children. For over fifteen years, she has prosecuted some of the most despicable defendants who have committed the most heinous crimes. For the last seven years, she has been the prosecuting attorney for the Child Sexual Assault division of the Los Angeles County Sex Crimes Unit.

My guest is Mary Patrick Kavanaugh, author of the newly released book, Family Plots: Love, Death & Tax Evasion. Mary wrote the book as a novel but it is loosely based on her own life of marrying someone she thought was one thing and getting something else. Mary recently held a funeral for her book after being rejected by 16 different publishers who said they loved it but didn't want to take a leap of faith on an unknown writer. That's why on her book it bears a shiny gold seal "Awarded Sixteen Rejections from Prominent NYC Publishers 2008." This promises to be an entertaining half hour.

My guest is Cathy Scott. Cathy is a journalist and author of four true crime books and one biography, including the best-selling The Killing of Tupac Shakur and, most recently, the critically acclaimed and Amazon.com bestseller Pawprints of Katrina. For more than a decade, she was a correspondent for The New York Times and Reuters news service. Her work also has appeared in George magazine, Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, New York Post, The New York Times Magazine, San Diego Union-Tribune, and Las Vegas Sun. She has appeared on the Oxygen network’s “Snapped” investigations, Unsolved Mysteries, CourtTV, CNN, MTV News and Uncovered TV.

My guest is Heather Steele, President & CEO of The Innocent Justice Foundation. Heather will tell us what we need to know about the problem and how we can combat the exploitation of our children.
