    09/04/2019 Duración: 26min

Find show notes for this episode at TransformingMission.org/062 Today we're having a conversation about congregational core values and identifying the behaviors that define the core values. For many congregations, we think we're clear on what we value, but the reality is, the values aren't supported by behavior. As a result, individuals and teams are uncertain how to support and live into the values. Often our values are what lead us to stand up, speak up, and step up. Our values can propel us to be courageous. But, without clarity of values, it’s unlikely that we’ll walk our talk. As you listen, consider the skills you learned in Episodes 055-061 about rumbling with vulnerability. Like any conversation, you'll want to build a container and define what will help people actively participate in the conversation.  We'll talk through three steps to help you get clear on your congregational core values. As always, we offer insights and stories to help guide you on your leadership in the local church.   Next Steps

It's a brief review from Episode 060.  Thoughts, Feelings, Actions (or inaction) leads to your Results. You have control over your thoughts, feelings, and actions (or inaction). You also have the power to name your desired outcome.  What we don't have control over are the brutal facts of our current reality. 26/03/2019 Duración: 29min

Find show notes and a downloadable resource for this episode at TransformingMission.org/060 Many of us were taught at a young age that our feelings don’t have a place in getting things done. We learned how to suppress what we were feeling to focus on accomplishing a task before us. The end result? We’ve forgotten how to identify our feelings. As a result, our emotional literacy or emotional intelligence is lacking. It’s not that simple. But, it’s the progression of tuning out our emotions and feelings. If we’re going to lead a movement of Jesus followers, we are convinced it’s going to take courageous leadership. Courageous leadership doesn’t happen void of feelings. Neither does innovation, creativity, productivity, or transformation. If you seek to lead people to encounter the love of Jesus, it’s time to get clear about what it means to be emotionally literate. In this episode, Tim and Sara have a conversation about Emotional Literacy. They talk about what it is, why it is important, and offer examples from
