Asking God “Why?” (Psalm 22)
07/04/2025 Duración: 47minJoin Pastor Stuart for the sixth lesson in our series, Head Full of Doubt, where we seek to answer the question, "What do we do with doubt?" Today, we turn to Psalm 22 to find the psalmist . . . "Asking God 'Why?'". In this lesson, we learn: Asking God “Why?” is not necessarily doubt or sin. The “why” of suspicion questions God’s character or wisdom. The “why” of curiosity desires to learn. The “why” of bewildered belief trusts God but admits confusion and ignorance. The “why” of anguish expresses our pain and agony to God. The type of “why” we ask demonstrates what’s going on in our heart. No matter what type of “why” is in our heart, it is good for us to bring our questions to God. Working through our questions with God helps lead us from why to worship. We can do all this boldly because of Jesus. So, whatever “whys” we’re wrestling with, let’s take them to our heavenly Father through Jesus.
