The life of faith is not just knowing about the promises of God, it’s about living by the promises of God. It’s about moving forward in the confidence that what God has promised for us to receive, it’s ours to take. And that’s what the book of Joshua is all about. It’s about the people of God having the faith to take what God has promised to them. And even though it seemed impossible at times for God to be true to his promises, God gave them the victory to conquer all their enemies. And by the end of the book Joshua makes this confession, “Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.” Joshua 21:45.
