Wakr - Whitefield Academy Kids Radio

Miss Smyly’s and Mrs. Simms 3rd grade classes share their theatrical talents by performing two radio dramas for this episode of WAKR. These were recorded during Arts Day in two 1-hour segments, with students performing vocal parts and recording their own sound effects.

In our first episode of this new school year, Miss Morris visits WAKR to preview the exciting events of “I Love to Read Week.” We also hear from students and their favorite parts of this special week and illusionist Arthur Atsma stops by to talk about his upcoming visit next week.

Our last episode of the 2010/2011 year includes auction winner Elley Stanga and friend Emma Shelton as our guest hosts. In this episode we ask students about the highlights of their year, reveal the winners of the trivia contest, and hear two AMAZING performances.

In our 3rd episode we hear what you did during Snow Week, the 4th grade makes music, and WAKR receives a celebrity endorsement!

In our 2nd episode we announce our first sponsor, hear two book reports in "Book Talk with Ms. Morris," listen to jokes in our Knock-Knock Joke Marathon, and talk to Miss Kirkham from Turkey.

For our debut episode, we talk about the WAKR podcast and how to be involved, why WA students love the beginning of the year, "Book Talk with Ms. Morris", "Tea Time with Miss Tilly", and our hosts Mr. Martin and Mr. Coski talk ALOT.
