The Many Threats of ESG (Guest: Jack McPherrin)
31/05/2023 Duración: 43minEnvironment, Social and Governance (ESG) has become one of the gravest threats facing the free societies of the world. A cabal of ideologically aligned progressive elites are pushing to have progressive environmental and social justice goals replace the pursuit of profits and wealth creation through ESG under the guise of stakeholder capitalism. ESG is a social credit scoring system that ideologically aligned elites and subservient bureaucratic authorities have developed to “reset” the global financial system to their advantage, fundamentally transforming society in the process. States are fighting ESG pressure. The federal government should join the battle.

Shameful Propaganda From the “Union of Concerned Scientists”
19/05/2023 Duración: 01h06minIn this episode of Environment & Climate News, we'll dissect a recent so-called study from the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) which makes a blatantly false claim attempting to tie fossil fuel products to wildfires in the western United States. Not one, not two, but three glaring issues arise: contradictory data, cherry-picked data, and satellite data, all showing that UCS isn’t just in error, they outright lied.

Policy, Power, and Politics: Renewable Energy Plagues Texas (Guest: Jason Isaac)
15/05/2023 Duración: 44minWelcome to Environment & Climate News, your source for insights into environmental policies and climate-related issues. This episode, hosted by H. Sterling Burnett, features Jason Isaac from the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Isaac sheds light on a pressing power predicament facing Texas and the nation as a whole: the forced transition from reliable fossil fuel power plants to less dependable wind and solar energy sources. As Texas strives to address this issue, the EPA's new power plan and the substantial subsidies stipulated in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) potentially pose significant obstacles. The episode delves deeply into these challenges, suggesting that federal courts may eventually declare the EPA's plan unlawful. It also discusses the House Republicans' countermeasures, which target the green subsidies in the IRA as part of their Debt Ceiling adjustment bill. Join us to explore the intricacies of these policy debates and their substantial impact on our environment and future climate.

NASA Engineer Tom Moser Reveals the Truth About Climate Science
02/05/2023 Duración: 17minOn this podcast, former NASA engineer and program director for the space station Tom Moser gives a presentation to shed light on the science behind climate change. Drawing on his impressive credentials, including serving as Acting Associate Administrator for Spaceflight in Washington, D.C., Director of the Space Station Program, Deputy Manager of the Space Shuttle Orbiter, and Chief Engineer at the Johnson Space Center, Moser highlights the correlation between global temperatures and solar irradiance. He also delves into the disparity between real-world data and often reported climate models, which are used as the basis for governmental public policy, and how these models consistently overestimate temperature trends versus the real-world data. Moser exposes the propaganda in the climate science field and breaks down why media claims are often misleading. This informative presentation is not to be missed by anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of climate science.

24/04/2023 Duración: 30minIn this podcast, H Sterling Burnett converses with guest Paul Chesser to discuss the interventions of Climate woke special interest in our banking system. Specifically, they discuss how these groups and investors have offered shareholder proxy proposals to force big banks to adopt net zero targets and reporting, and to cease banking with companies in the fossil fuel industry. If successful, these efforts will drive up costs, reduce employment, undermine U.S. energy security, and bankrupt a vital industry, while doing nothing more than enrich elite bankers and green energy profiteers.

Money Talks: Biden's Bold Move to Fund Social Causes with Retirement Funds Says It All (Guest: Phil Kerpen)
03/04/2023 Duración: 21minOn today’s episode of Environment & Climate News, H. Sterling Burnett and Phil Kerpen of American Commitment cover the ramifications of Biden’s actions regarding ESG and our financial system. In light of Biden's veto of the Congressional resolution aimed at blocking the Department of Labor's ESG rule, pension fund and portfolio managers now have the option to use their clients' money to support progressive social and political causes. The outcome of this veto, if unchanged, would release fund managers from their fiduciary duty to act solely in their clients' financial interests by prioritizing the promotion of climate change and board room equity over ensuring retirees have adequate funds for their livelihoods. Studies indicate that ESG managed funds and companies perform less favorably in the market compared to politically neutral companies that focus on profit-making.

We're Doomed... Again! IPCC and Media Jump the Shark
24/03/2023 Duración: 01h41sEarlier this week, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its AR6 climate change report. Expectedly, the report is defined by serial doomcasting and claims of impending catastrophe despite the growing mountain of failed predictions that are conveniently ignored. One of the most controversial claims made in the report is that anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) is the main driver of temperature change. Real-world data has proven this false, yet it’s the main takeaway in each IPCC report.First released on Monday was the “Summary for Policymakers,” a section intended to guide policymaking decisions across the globe. The AR6 report continues to omit key information in favor of sensationalized claims that are easily refuted. For example, the 36-page summary doesn’t include a single mention of the logarithmic relationship between atmospheric CO2 concentrations and global temperature. Surely, policymakers should know that each unit of CO2 added to the atmosphere has a decreasing eff

Biden's New Alaska Drilling Policy Is 'Economic Self-Mutilation'
15/03/2023 Duración: 15minHeartland Institute President James Taylor on Tuesday, March 14 was a guest on Tony Katz Today on WIBC radio in Indianapolis to talk about President Biden’s announcement this week about drilling in Alaska. (See our press release on that.)While the environmental left is angry at Biden for opening up any drilling in Alaska (the Willow Project), Taylor explains that the president actually closed off a lot more resources than he opened. “This is economic self-mutilation,” Taylor said. “The media is in the bag for the environmental crazies.”“We have more oil than Saudi Arabia. We have more oil than Russia,” Taylor said, adding that the drive for “green energy” will make the United States and the world dependent on rare earth minerals largely controlled by China. Enjoy this conversation on “energy security,” as Katz puts it in his interview with Taylor.

Green Imperialism: How the West's Climate Agenda Keeps Developing Countries Poor (Guest: Vijay Jayaraj)
14/03/2023 Duración: 27minIn this episode of Environment & Climate News, we discuss how international agencies, corporations, and governments are treating developed countries as if they were back in the colonial era. More, climate change does not pose a threat to the world's poor. But poverty, lack of food, and lack of other essentials which fossil fuel use can advance, does.Join us as we explore the intersection between climate change policies, economic development, and poverty reduction.

Climate Incorporated - Billions and Billions (Climate Change Roundtable #50)
04/02/2023 Duración: 58minOne of the most common accusations against climate change skeptics is that they are in the pocket of big oil and other corporations. These claims are often made without evidence and are used as a smear tactic to imply that climate skeptics receive dirty money. In reality, climate skeptics receive a negligible amount of funding compared to the vast amount of money invested in climate research and political causes. The argument is pointed at the wrong side.In a recent article titled "Politics, cash, fame: what motivates climate change deniers,” author Roland Lloyd Parry parrots the claim that climate skeptics are purely motivated by greed. In episode 50 of Climate Change Roundtable, Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, and Linnea Lueken will explore the issues surrounding climate fun
