The three offices of Christ are Prophet, Priest, and King. Jesus was all of these and he was the best version of each of these. It is important for us to understand and believe Christ’s role in each of these offices.

Everybody likes to talk about money if we’re talking about how to get more but not many want to talk about how to give more. Every Christian will say they love Jesus and Jesus is Lord, but stats prove that we want Jesus to be Lord over our salvation, but not Lord over our money. What many “Christians” do with their money proves they love money more than Jesus.

This is the third parable that Jesus tells after He gives the command to watch. So basically, He’s saying, “I’m going to return, you’ll be held accountable for your life, so watch.” The most popular of those stories, and the one we are studying today is the parable of the talents.

Jesus doesn’t want us to feed our greed; He wants us to be freed from greed.

The parable of The Good Samaritan. It’s so well known that both Christians and non-Christians commonly use it as an idiom to describe anyone who performs a selfless act. Many use this parable as a poster child of social gospel/justice. Hollywood and media love to jump on the social justice bandwagons. It’s not bad to fight hunger, trafficking/poverty but, hopefully, today, you’ll see that Gospel driven mercy is totally different. Kingdom life is motivated by the gospel not guilt.

These parables are teaching us the value of the kingdom of God but they are also meant as a warning to us.

Many Christians question their salvation because they continue to commit the same sins. But, only people who've been redeemed are truly burdened by their sin. If not, you don’t care, and if you don’t care, you’re not redeemed.

What are we doing with all of these things we've consumed?

The law isn't sin, but it reveals our sin and inability to do anything about it. God gave the law to convict us of sin and bring us to the end of ourselves so we'd run to Christ for salvation. He didn't give us the law to make us good, but to show us we can't be good without God.

When you become a Christian, you enter into a covenant relationship with Jesus. That changes everything. Grace changes everything.

God's commands are good. The enemy makes them look binding and boring like they're cramping your style. But, God's commands are always for our good and His glory.

Knowing doctrine and theology is vital to knowing who you are so you can be who you are. Many believers continue to struggle with the same sins over and over, year after year because they don’t KNOW who they are. Christian living is dependant upon Christian learning. Duty follows doctrine. If you’re spiritually ignorant, you’re going to be spiritually impotent.

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?

It seems too good that Jesus took punishment and I get the benefits. So, in 12-21, Paul talks about one of the most important aspects of justification. Theologically, it’s called imputation.

Before we can grasp how glorious God's love for us really is, we must first understand how unlovable we really are.

We receive amazing benefits and privileges when our condemnation is exchanged for justification.

Scripture commands all believers to be baptized, extroverts and introverts. No matter what culture or spiritual background. No matter if it costs you friends or life. Jesus said if you follow Him, you’re to be baptized publicly to proclaim the gospel and that you’re on His team.

Jesus’ ministry begins with a wedding party and ends with a wedding party. He says blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. Blessed are you if you’re saved. If you’re not, today, you have an invitation to the party, to feast with Jesus and be forgiven and made new.

As believers this is our call. We are not called to tweek the message of God or our Biblical convictions in pursuit of relevance. We are to deliver the message of God to those who do not know him. This is our concern. Obedience is our concern. God works through our obedience For Our Good and His Glory.

We are never too old to be about God's calling in our lives. He has called us to obedience no matter the circumstance. When God has called you to do something, drop the safety nets, drop the backup plan, and pursue God with all your heart.
