Pastor Mike continues the series on 1 Peter by stressing the importance of 'the sanctifying work of the Spirit' that Peter instructs us in the introduction of his letter. We must build fundamental upon fundamental, precept upon precept, and the most basic of Christian fundamentals is understanding what it means to live a sanctifying life by the power of the Holy Spirit working in us. And then, Peter transitioned into one of the boldest Apostles preaching and proclaiming the power of blood of Jesus. We find that Peter first learned to follow Jesus so that he could later become one of the best leaders for Jesus later in his life. There is much for us to gain in that experience alone. Pastor Mike goes into great detail telling us who we are in Christ! How do you measure yourself? How does God measure you? Is there a difference? There is an immeasurable difference in how God measures us versus how we think of ourselves. As we see how much God really loves us and how much He desires a relationship with us, it will change how we think about the many things in life that in the past kept us in bondage to the things of this world. Pastor Mike asks the question if we are aware of the enemies strategies formed against us with the sole purpose to destroy? This is an important question to ponder and to be sure that the answer is clear. The enemy has a number of tactics proven over thousands of years and millions of people, so it's vital we be aware of as many as we can so that we not only protect ourselves but go on the offensive. The "Big Three" we speak about today, 1-To break communication between us and God, 2- To attack our personal integrity and bring fear and chaos into our lives, and 3- To destroy relationships between Christians with the intent to isolate and separate the body. Independence Day brings a focus on Freedom. Pastor Mike focus's on what it means to really be free. We have much to be thankful for in our Country's freedoms. But more importantly we're going to discuss the "TRUE" Freedom we have in Christ, a freedom that lasts for all eternity. Today, we talk about our freedom from the "pull of the past, the pain of the present and the fear of the future". Christ gives us freedom in all aspects of our living so that we can join with Him in celebrating the freedom of eternity walking the streets of Heaven one day very soon...

First of all, Happy Father's Day dads... Pastor Mike celebrates the role of fatherhood today and gives an example of the perfect role model for godly fathers to follow and that is of Jesus honoring and submitting to His heavenly Father. We will find today that Jesus voluntarily submitted to a new role of becoming a man, a son, and showing us how a son submits to the mission of his father. This is a perfect description of what the word "submission" is. Becoming "sub" to the "mission" of the person of whom you are in submission of. Thought of this way, it raises a great question to all the dads today to define their "mission" in life. To have children and wives be in submission means they are coming under your mission. Do you know what your mission is? Have you ever really thought about it? It's a vital question to ask yourself so that you can be sure you're leading in the eternal direction of life...

Pastor Mike continues in the series of "Offenses" and what it means to be Offended. We have been speaking of offenses between people and even with God as being negative and leading to spiritual death if not dealt with properly... Today we are going to speak of the "offense" that leads to life! Is that possible that something that would be offensive would lead to eternal life? Yes, the Good News that Jesus brought to the world is very offensive to the worldly system that Satan established as a result of sin in the Garden so many thousands of years ago. The world is offended by the word of Jesus's truth... That's pretty easy to understand... But we also find that Jesus also offended his own disciples and close followers and many left Him as well because He continued to challenge them on how they view the offense of the Gospel... Praying for the Holy Spirit to bring this revelation to light in your life...

Pastor Mike picks up the series he began a couple weeks ago on "offense". Offenses can be categorized as either an "imagined offense" or a "real offense". Either way, is it worth it to be offended and remain offended? We look at the life of Joseph and his brothers and see how an offense, either imagined or real has destructive consequences. We discussed that even though one has a legitimate reason to be offended, it is their choice to be offended or not. We also asked the very important questions - is God in control and can our God given dreams, like Joseph's be taken away from us? Listen in to hear what we discussed...

Pastor Mike talks about the analogy of life as being similar to riding a school bus. It's an interesting analogy that helps us understand and see life from a simple perspective of following the "rules" of riding the school bus of life in a manner that gives us a safe ride to our eternal destination. The question for us all is what do we want our eternal destination, called eternity to be like? Are we living our life while on this journey so that we will be welcomed into heaven or sent away to an eternal punishment in Hell. It's a question that we will all deal with so it's wise to consider it today... Listen in and enjoy the ride and hopefully be challenged along the way...

This week's message turned out not to be a message at all. As the worship service progressed it became evident that the Holy Spirit had a different idea for the service, so we trusted Him and what you're going to hear is unique. For some that are listening this may seem very normal and in order and for others this may seem very out of place and unusual. We want to hear the voice of the Lord as He leads us in our services and in our life overall. I pray that as you listen, (if you listen) you will be ministered to by the worship and by the Holy Spirit as He can use this no matter where you're at and what's happening in your life. Understand this, Jesus loves you more then you can ever imagine and He has a plan for your life. Simply give Him the "authority" to be "The Lord" of your life so that He can also have the "responsibility" to fulfill His will for your life... Pastor Mike is beginning a series discussing what it means to be offended and how offense is used by Satan to trap and destroy people. We will uncover in these messages that the enemy of our soul uses people to do much of his "dirty" work. The old saying is true, "hurt people, hurt people". This week we are discussing what it means to be offended and how offense is a prime tool the enemy uses to trap us. We never speak of the enemy to glorify him, just to expose him so that we can defeat him in our lives thru the power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Mike talks today about choices and the power they hold over our lives. In fact we will discover that choices are so powerful there is no power in the universe greater. The reason that choice is so powerful is because God gave the right to choose to man uniquely. The question we must ask ourselves is, are we using our choices wisely or are we wasting them? Along with the choices, come the consequences that result. Are you comfortable with the consequences that are coming your way as a result of the choices you've made? Pastor Mike speaks on FEAR - a dreadful topic until we understand more about it. We will see today that there is a proper definition and use of fear that defines our relationship with both God and man. When we fear properly life is good and when we fear improperly life is confusing at best. We are to fear God and love men. The devil would have us fear men and hate God... It's unfortunate for many that the snare has been set and many fear the wrong things... Listen in to learn more about who we fear... Pastor Mike talks today about captivity. How the enemy is planning and striving to take us captive to do his will in us and to ultimately destroy us; we all know that. Yet we can be the one taking Christ captive and holding him prisoner in our heart, and the sad part is if we do that our ultimate outcome will be the same as if the enemy took us captive. God's Word declares that we are to love the Lord with ALL of our heart. That means we must give Jesus access to all of us, not just the parts that we want to and keep Him out of the rest that we don't want Him to have access to. Listen in and ask yourself the tough question, am I holding Christ captive in the living room of my heart or am I really giving Him full control and authority in all the areas of my life?

Palm Sunday - The beginning of the beginning or the end, depending on how you look at the purpose of Jesus life on earth. Jesus came to Jerusalem that day to declare his Kingship of an eternal Kingdom and unfortunately most of the people thought he was coming to set up an earthly kingdom. One King and two Kingdoms... Many missed the meaning of that day then, but it's even more sad to think that many are still missing it today. Pastor Mike speaks of the necessity to see Jesus coming as The King of Kings and Lord of Lords and not be caught up in the commotion of the emotion of the masses that see Jesus as a king of a lessor kingdom...
