As we go back into our series on the Fruit of Spirit we talk about the Fruit of Goodness. Mankind understands goodness in relation to what we think good is by a comparison model. In other words, we compare things according to our likes and dislikes and than determine if it's good or bad. The Fruit of the Spirit called Goodness, is the standard of God's Goodness or His Holiness by which all things are considered Good. That's why as a follower of Jesus and His teachings, we must seek the Holy Spirit's help in growing the fruit of God's Goodness in our lives so that we don't fall trap to the enemies deceitful way of using a comparison model of just being "good enough" thinking that if we try really hard, we can earn God's favor and our entrance into Heaven by our own good measures. That's why "good people" can miss Heaven, as it's not by our own merits we are saved, but by the Goodness and the Mercy and the Grace of God that we are saved thru the blood of Jesus... In this time of so much fear and unrest from this Covid-19 virus - having Peace is something everyone is seeking. What we find today is the peace the world offers is not lasting. Many say they have peace, but it's a worldly peace because their life isn't in disarray - they have money in the bank, their job is secure, they're healthy, etc. But take that away and if they don't have a true relationship with Jesus the giver of lasting Peace, their worldly peace quickly fades away. Sin is the breaker of God's Peace. If there's sin - then there's no lasting peace. Peace is directly related to relationship with Jesus. So where does God's Peace come from? I think many will surprised to know that God's Peace is a result of God's Love as it's proven thru God's anger and His discipline of those He loves. You're going to have to listen to the message to fully understand what this means. God Loves you, yet He's angry if sin has you in bondage and He will discipline you to maintain a healthy relationship.... T

Easter - What a special Christian Holiday! It is the End Point or the Finishing Point of Christmas. These are the two Bench Marks of the Christian Faith. Christmas - Jesus comes as a baby to give a promise and a hope, Easter - Jesus dies and rises from the dead and thus He fulfills the promise and the hope. However, as important as these two special days are - the real crux of the matter happens between and after the days marked on our calendar. What Jesus did and how He lived "finished" God's plan and purpose. Now what we do with these events of Jesus life after the celebrations are over determines our eternal future thereafter. When Jesus cried out "It Is Finished" that fateful day - what did He finish? As we listen to this message today we will see that Jesus "finished" the only road that leads all mankind back into personal relationship with God His Heavenly Father. Palm Sunday - is it the beginning of the end of Jesus's ministry or is it just the beginning? Well, it all depends on one's perception of who Jesus was and what His purpose for living was all about. Perception - what an important concept in our life. The old saying goes; "Perception is Reality". How true that is for most if not all people. Today's message speaks to the difference between man's perception and reality and God's perception and reality. The point of the message is this - If our perception and reality don't match up with that of God's - than we are on a path of great disappointment and eternal destruction. Through our accepting God's reality we are choosing eternal life in Heaven and by our living in our perceptions of what we want God's reality to be - we are choosing eternal punishment in Hell. Now we're getting into the "meat" of the Fruit of the Spirit. We are finding that the Fruit of the Spirit is really a "SUPERNATURAL" Fruit because it is the very nature of God. Today we are talking about "Kindness" even when others aren't kind to us. Even to the point of forgiving and loving and being "kind" to our enemies. That's enough proof right there that this is not a fruit that you or I can grow in our own fleshly ways. What a perfect time for a message on Patience... In the midst of this Coronavirus-19 and the resulting financial turmoil, patience is needed more now than ever in our generation's history. It so happens that Patience is a "Fruit of the Spirit" and God supernaturally grows this fruit in the lives of His children. As we've said, God's character is all about the Fruit that He wants to grow in our lives, so it's what we should be striving for, if we are growing into the Character of God. Today, we emphasize how important this is not only for our own salvation, but also for the salvation of others around is in our sphere of influence. It takes time and perseverance, but I guarantee that you will have no regrets. It is my prayer today that you invite the Power of the Holy Spirit into your life's garden and invite Him to help you as you intentionally grow the Fruit of Patience...

Peace, an important Fruit of the Spirit. Peace is easy when things are good, but let a world wide virus hit and peace can be the farthest thing from a person's mind. This is such a timely message in that if we are to have God's Peace there are some things that we must understand and accept about God's way of giving Peace that truely passes all our understanding. Many times we want the benefits of Godliness without understanding and accepting what our responsibility is to gain it. This isn't a "works based" mentality but it is a "submission based" mentality. As we submit to God, then He can pour out His benefits. It's the deception of the enemy and our own flesh man that wants all the good God has for us, while at the same time living selfishly for our own pleasure and worldly wisdom. This message today, gives us great hope for Peace as we outline what that really means and looks like practically. When life hits us the hardest, the promise of "Joy" as a Fruit of the Spirit is the only thing that can sustain us many times. Life can be hard, yet the Fruit of the Holy Spirit is the unchanging characteristic of God that gives us the ability to make it to the end. That's what we're talking about today. Happiness and Joy - are they the same thing? They may seem close, but in reality they aren't even in the same ballpark. Happiness is a state of being, in the moment, based upon the circumstances that make me "happy". We all know how quickly things can change and there goes my happiness. Joy on the other hand, is an attitude and a looking ahead to the prospect of a arriving to a destination that promises Joy, gladness and long-lasting pleasure. We're going to uncover the source of Joy today and teach us how to maintain Joy on the journey through life totally independent of the fleeting emotions of happiness. Pastor Tyler talks to us today about the necessity of persevering through the hard times of life. He makes a great point in that we can't persevere unless we have something to persevere through. In other words, it takes a hard time in life in order for perseverance to be required. Ever thought about? What's even more valuable is when we learn to trust in God through the hard times and feel His sweet presence as a result of trusting Him no matter what the outcome is. Sometimes we don't get what we want or think we deserve, but that doesn't change who God is. It's in those times when we don't understand why or wonder where God is, is when perseverance is the hardest and at the same brings the most reward. The Holy Spirit is an exciting person of the Trinity to study. We are continuing to learn about His role in our life by helping us bear Fruit - the question today is "Why do I need the Fruit?". We all know that until we realize the need for something we don't spend much time thinking about it or pursuing it. That's a reason why the enemy will keep us occupied with many things that aren't eternally fruit bearing. The message today, deals with the need that we have to be involved in the process of being a producer of spiritual fruit as a means to helping us be productive in the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit is waiting for us to invite Him in to our lives to the helper He was sent to be so that we can bear good fruit. We need help His help and He is willing if we will ask Him. We're in our series on "Understanding the Holy Spirit". Today we are speaking about the differences, congruences and the way God gives the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the way the Fruit of the Holy Spirit is produced in our lives. We're going to find that both the Gifts and the Fruit are essential in the lives of true believers that are effective in the Kingdom. We're also going to show how much God trusts us to be wise stewards and producers of both in our lives and in our church. Even though God gives and trusts us with these gifts, unfortunately there are those that have misused and abused the gifts and it has caused significant harm to people and the kingdom, yet that does not diminish the value of the gift. So today, my encouragement is that you invite the Gardner to tend your fruit bearing orchard so you can bear much fruit so that you can be wise in seeking and using the gifts to glorify Jesus... The Holy Spirit has many roles and responsibilities in the life of a true believer. We have previously discussed that He leads us to Jesus and helps us to be more like Him. Today, we discuss how the Holy Spirit is a giver of "knowledge" and then gives us the "wisdom" to properly apply the knowledge so that we honor and glorify God in everything we do. The world offers it's form of knowledge and wisdom, but it is far from truth and it leads to destruction. The Holy Spirit will guide us into Heavenly and Spiritual Knowledge and Wisdom, that leads to everlasting life and holiness. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to guide us and protect us in our quest for revelation knowledge and wisdom.

Pastor Mike takes a brief interlude on the series on the Holy Spirit by taking us down a small group setting today in what happens on a typical Wednesday night Bible study. This is based on a video series by Dr. Les Parrott titled "Love Like That". The actual study is 6 weeks and we are going to only be doing the first week dealing be "Mindful" of the people around us. Dr. Parrott gives some very good insights on how we are to love people as Jesus did and still does. We are to learn from Him and imitate Him so that we are able to love and minister to people as Jesus would have us to. What we will find is that each person is uniquely gifted and also uniquely positioned in their life to have an impact on the people in their sphere of influence that no one else has. Therefore, the Holy Spirit is just waiting to be invited in to help each of us share the love of Jesus by meeting the needs of people. Pastor Mike stays on the topic of Justification and Sanctification this week as we talk about what it really looks like and means when the Holy Spirit "sets us apart" from the worldly influences that would hinder our relationship with the Lord. The enemy is very sly and subtle in his work in the lives of believers. He is the master of lies, and he twists God's Word into saying things it doesn't in order to bring deception and keep us under his evil influence. The main reason of being set apart unto God is to break us free from grip of evil and to set us free and to keep us free in Christ. It is a learned behavior and it requires our effort. We're going back into our series on the Holy Spirit and the many facets and roles that He wants to play in the lives of true followers of Christ. Today, we describe the power of the Holy Spirit in the "Act of Justification" and the "Process of Sanctification". These are big words with powerful yet very simple definitions. It's all because of God's great love for us that He is willing to accept us in our sin, IF we come to Him with a truly repentant heart. At that moment He "Justifies" us if we have never sinned. But He doesn't stop loving us as He knows that we need the power of the Holy Spirit to keep us justified thru the process of daily sanctification - which is a "setting apart" from the old sinful nature and setting us free to live a life holy and pleasing to the Heavenly Father. Pastor Mike welcomes the new decade, 2020 by talking about how valuable and important "Time" is and how God uses it to accomplish His plans in the lives of people that honor Him. We honor and glorify God by using this most precious and valuable gift of time by seeking the wisdom of the Holy Spirit as to how He would have us wisely invest it. The point is, we have the power of choice to either wisely invest our time or foolishly waste it. Pastor Tyler is speaking this morning on what it means to see with 20/20 vision looking backwards in order to see what God has in store looking forward and how we learn to invest our time in people as Jesus did. He uses the example of Jesus actions at Jacob's well with the Samaritan woman. He asks her for a drink of water only to offer her in return a refreshing supply of true spiritual water that never runs dry. Jesus takes the time to invest in her even in his weariness as an example for us to learn how to invest ourselves in others in a similar fashion. Ministry requires investment and God promises an eternal result as we're faithful to obey His promptings. Christmas is a special day, for the most part we all enjoy Christmas. But have we ever really wondered why Jesus really had to come to earth in the first place? Why did He have to leave Heaven and come to earth to be a part of His creation? We try to answer that question today and by doing so giving an invitation to accept Jesus as the true gift from Heaven that He really is.
