We're continuing our discussion on the Holy Spirit as one of the Persons of the Trinity and what He wants to do for us. Today we are going to better understand a few of the many roles the Holy Spirit wants to be involved with in our daily lives. He Loves us and His desire is to be everything God's Word declares He is for us. He's just waiting for us to invite Him in. He will not force Himself upon us any more than God the Father or Jesus does. We have the power to choose and it's by our choices are we either filled and fulfilled by the power of the Holy Spirit or we're on our own trying to live life in our own powerless and frustrating way. It is the prayer of this pastor that we learn about and invite the Person and the power of the Holy Spirit into our daily lives and live life to the absolute fullest and to glorify Jesus and strengthen His Church. As we are beginning our journey speaking about the Holy Spirit, we begin today by speaking about His role in the Church. It is really hard to know where to begin to speak about the Holy Spirit as His presence is everywhere in our lives, He's just so absolutely amazing. It is the prayer of this pastor that over the next few messages on the Holy Spirit that we will begin to appreciate how much He loves us and how much He wants to be a part of our lives. WIth that said, we will need to open our hearts and minds to hear what He really wants us to know and to welcome His power and Gifts in our lives. My experiences say that many are afraid and somewhat intimidated by the Holy Spirit, so it is my prayer that we will remove this fear and clear up any misunderstanding that would be responsible. Clearly we know the enemy is at work here, so we stand against Him as well as we ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. Come along on the journey with us...

Pastor Mike begins a series on the Holy Spirit by first talking about the Trinity and describing why it is so important to our Christian faith. As difficult as it is to understand, the Trinity is vital to our walk of faith in our salvation and how we pray. Learning how God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit loves, relates to and interacts with each other gives us a model of how we are to do the same with God and with people. We try our best to gain an understanding of how "God is one, yet three" without this being a contradictory statement, and then seeing how this sets Christianity apart from every other world religion. We describe the specific roles of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit in the process of our salvation and how we pray. Pastor MIke presents the topic of Love as something that the world declares that it needs more of. So the question is asked: is love, the way the world defines it, the missing ingredient that would solve all the world's problems? What do you think? Clearly love is the essence of God, and the world needs that, but is that what the world recognizes as what's missing? Does the world even know that God is love? We define Love in this message and clearly identify what kind of Love the world really needs... As we continue to discuss the interaction between Jesus and Peter, we see Jesus responding to the truth and honesty of Peter's "Real Answers". Jesus wants us to be honest not only with Him, but also with ourselves. It's as we give "real answers" can we be first of all rescued from our sin, secondly restored to right relationship with God and then useful in building the Kingdom. Jesus Asked Peter 3 times - Do You Love Me? Today we discuss an application of this passage in helping Peter and helping each one of us deal with our Past failures, our present anxiousness and our Future fears as only Jesus can. We all need forgiveness just as Peter did of the failures that haunt us, and we need to be encouraged in our present days to keep up the good fight and then we need the assurance that we will be able to get thru the future. Jesus assures us with these questions that His love is sufficient and as we profess ours to Him, he brings us deeper in relationship with Him and with our Heavenly Father through the power of the Holy Spirit...

We have been discussing the priorities required to live a victorious life over the past weeks and this week we are giving good practical ways to do so. We're instructed to "take our thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ", today we are going to understand why this is so important and how to do so. Do you struggle in your thought life? We live in a world that is bombarding us with many versions of truth all promising us fullness and prosperity of life. But as we look at scripture we see a different path, and this can be confusing. So today we are searching for truth and balance in life when it comes to our priorities and our choices. We begin by saying that God wants us to enjoy life on this earth, but to what extent do we go to get it? Are we following His plans and choosing his priorities in order to gain His Joy? We've spent much time defining and explaining God's Harvest Laws and today we prove them all to be true by examining the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. He clearly understood that a "seed" had to be planted if there was going to be a "harvest" of men's souls. Amazingly He was willing to be that "seed", that was His purpose in becoming a man. The Laws are all fulfilled through His obedience, listen in to be amazed at His love for us...

Wrapping up the series of "The laws of the Harvest" we finish with the hardest one, the Law of Interval. The reason that this is the hardest is because it deals with "time", something that we can't control. This law says that there is time between the sowing and the reaping and this requires that we develop patience in the process. We live in a fast-paced society and time is not always our friend, but God uses time as a tool to fashion us into His creation IF we allow Him to. This is the third of four Laws of the Harvest and this one deals with Increase. It only makes sense that we would expect an increase on the investment and not simply a one-to-one return. This is consistent with the goodness of God, that as we give He provides the increase. We serve a very generous God that provides not only the seed but the increase on the seed all for His glory, so it should be a natural response for us to be generous as well, but is it? Many struggle with the idea of giving and trusting God for the increase, is that not true? Listen in and be encouraged of the goodness and the faithfulness of God...

After taking a few weeks off, Pastor Mike is picking on the 2nd Law of the Harvest and that being the Law of Identity. This law means just what it says - One reaps in like kind with what one sows. We will find that this law is in all aspects of our lives so it is well that take this very seriously. God is not mocked and He clearly identifies in our text, especially by mere mortals.
