Pastor Mike is continuing the message began last week speaking about the Good FIght that Paul talks about. Paul fought the Good FIght and he encourages Timothy his spiritual son to fight his good fight and thus he encourages us to fight our good fight. What is the "good fight'"? If there's a "good fight", there must be a "bad fight". What are we fighting for? These are all good questions that this message continues to discuss. The most important question is: what is the fight you're in? Are you in the Bad FIght or the Good FIght? Listen in to learn more...

We are still in the mindset of preparing ourselves to be a true follower of Christ, one that honors our Heavenly Father and brings Glory to His Son Jesus. So if we are actually living this, we can be assured that we will be contested by the enemy. Maybe it's better that we just say it, we're going to be in a FIGHT. That's the reality even though we don't like to think that life is going to be hard when all we want is it to be easy, especially if we're doing good things. But we're told that we are to 'Fight the good fight" and this is what we're going to be talking about today. What does this mean? What is the Good FIght? We prepare in all walks of life and we find today through this message that being "Thankful and Content" is a key area of preparation for the person that truly loves the Lord. Thankfulness and Contentment work together and are the "gateway" to a relationship with God that is like none other. Having a truly grateful and contented heart is the person that pleases the Lord and one that He looks upon and blesses. This person understands that his or her source truly is in the Lord. Where are you this morning? Do you struggle to be thankful and content in the area of life that you're in? Then listen in and be thankful and content...

The message this week is all about how to prepare our heart to honor God. We have the great privilege of being adopted into the family of God and with that comes great responsibility to live a life honoring our Heavenly Father. So how do we do that? We do that through an intentionally committed life of prayer and making Godly choices with the power of the Holy Spirit. We focus on a prayer that Paul prayed for the Colossians and we personalize that for us today. Listen in and memorize this prayer along with us and live that honoring life...

How do churches prepare to meet the needs that come to them? Do you agree that churches go through seasons of need and seasons of growth? God uses people to meet the needs of His church by providing the blessings to the people and then trusts the people to use them wisely. Sometimes we need reminders to encourage us all to trust God with everything that He's given us so that we can be co-builders with Him. This is one of those messages that help us all see how and where we fit into meeting the many needs in the church as we journey together... Guest Speaker Tony VanDuser gives a wonderful and challenging word to Center Point reminding us who we are in Christ. He speaks from Peter's 2 Letter and reminds us that there are false teachers that would do everything they can to discourage and detract us from the mission we have to reach Charlevoix and our surrounding community. This is a message for all believers: "Remember who you are" in Christ Jesus! Listen in to be encouraged and challenged at the same time...

This message is a follow up to last weeks message on what it means to be the vibrant and healthy Church that Jesus designed and wants us to be. This week we ask the question are we, producers or consumers? Certainly, God gives us plenty to consume, yet His desire for us is to produce more than we consume. If we are going to be the church that is productive then we are to be intentional and focused on our productivity rather then on our consumption. Does that make sense? Listen in and accept the charge that we have as the Body of Christ to be productive and rewarded as we live holy, sanctified and fruitful lives for Glory of our Lord...

This may be the most important message this pastor has ever given from the perspective of describing what it means for us to be a part of "The Church" of Jesus Christ. The modern 'enlightened' definition of church has weakened and in many cases damaged what Jesus originally intended HIs Church to be. What a shame that is. Today we are discussing the "Key" ingredient for the church to vibrant, healthy and powerful as Jesus designed it to be and to be the church that He is coming back for very soon. Even though this week's message and last week's message were titled "A Word for Center Point" the reality is that these messages are for every person and church that claims they belong to Christ. God sees those that are truly His and He gives them a new identity that empowers us to live in victory over the enemy as we stand on the rock of Christ's identity. These messages will encourage and challenge to see ourselves as God sees us and then to live courageously and confidently as a son or daughter of our Heavenly Father... This is Pastor Mike and Chris's first sermon coming back from a 3 month sabbatical. Chris begins the message with a few comments on how God encourages us as only He can. Pastor Mike spends this time discussing a word that the Lord gave him for Center Point and how we should live holy, obedient and worshipful lives that honor and please and glorifies Him. Special Speaker Pastor Curt Dalaba gives us a great message on how we are to place our perceptions at the feet of God's reality. Often we perceive which makes up our reality is flawed and very short-sighted and incomplete based on what God has in store for us. The hope and promise of a true believer in the power of God give us the assurance that God has everything in control and for our best interest if we would have the faith to see as God sees. Listen in to be encouraged as Pastor Curt gives us the message of God's Reality...

Good word today on setting "markers" to help us remember those special life changing moments. This will give us the ability to draw on those memories and share them with others as we need encouragement.

As Pastor Mike is still on sabbatical, we had the opportunity to enjoy a message this week giving by Pastor Dalaba. He has outlined three keys to overcoming turbulent times.

Guest speaker Mark Bennett, the son of our worship leader Jackie, speaks a message of the things that hinder our spiritual lives, that he calls weeds. Physically and spiritually weeds need to be removed from our lives if we are going to live a victorious life in Christ. The Holy Spirit is waiting to help us if we will ask, and then He will replace the weeds with fruit that is beneficial both to our personal lives and the life of the church. Otis Buchan gives us the message today as Pastor Mike is on Sabbatical. Big O talks to us about memories and how important it is that we properly manage them. We need to be a good steward of our memories. Focus on the good memories, and do not let the bad memories become our identity and impact our future. Listen in for more great advice...

Pastor Curt Dalaba - Secretary-Treasurer of the Michigan District is our special speaker today while Pastor Mike continues on his sabbatical. Pastor Curt presents the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is as vital to the Christian today as it was on the Day of Pentecost almost 2000 years ago. This is a second experience of the power and indwelling on the Holy Spirit and is available for every believer that would ask. The first experience is when the Holy Spirit draws a person to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and then indwells them as they repent and ask forgiveness and accept Jesus as their savior and Lord. Pastor Mike is on Sabbatical so our guest speaker today is Otis Buchan from the Michigan District Office. Otis challenges us with the question, Where is the Lord? What is it that you are seeking in your life? Are you keeping God first in your pursuits? If we're not careful we can choose the worthless things in this life to the neglect of our eternal value. Understand that God values us as one of worthiness and great potential based on the Love that He has for us. Are we reflecting that Love and worthiness back to Him?
