When a parent, or parents, are incarcerated what happens to their children? Often meted out to other family members or foster care, the children of incarcerated parents face unique challenges within our society. In September, 2012 Shattered Lives hosted Marilyn Gambrell of No More Victims. The great surprise of the show was she had several of her “kids” along with her and we had a great time talking to them on air. To hear their stories was both amazing and shocking.  We don’t hear about their victories often enough!

On December 14, 2012 the nation was rocked by the shooting in Sandyhook Elementary School in Newtown, CT where over 20 people were killed, mostly children.   After five years of seeing their cases steadily lead into the digital world, Vito Colucci Jr. and Al Dressler, partners in Stamford-based Colucci Investigations, opened the Central Computer and Cell Phone Forensics Lab and FaceChecks.com at the University of Bridgeport.
