Special Speaker Patrick Walton with Kansas City International House of Prayer (KC-IHOP) speaks on three major things the Holy Spirit is doing among the people of God in the days that are approaching. Pastor Mike is continuing in the series on the Holy Spirit and how He works in a believer's life. This week we are going to be speaking on the Fruit of the Spirit and how that is the true measurement of a maturing Christian person. So often and erringly we have thought that it's the manifestation of the Spirit in the form of the "Gifts" of the Spirit that have shown evidence of maturity in a believer's life. But as we discuss in today's message, the process of maturing fruit is the evidence of a maturing Christian. As we allow God to mature the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, we are then better prepared to apply the Gift's of the Spirit to be witnesses and builders of God's Kingdom... Pastor Mike celebrates the power of the "Reality of the Choice" as given to us in the Easter Message. Last week being Palm Sunday, we spoke about expectations, this day Easter Sunday is reality of the expectations. Jesus provided us the "reality of our choice" that He gave by "His choice" to fulfill the plan of His Father by becoming the perfect sacrifice for our sins. By doing this, Jesus gave us back the opportunity and the choice to have relationship with God, our Father in Heaven. The question for all of us is, are we making and applying the choice in our lives?

Palm Sunday represented different things to different people based upon the expectation they had regarding Jesus. Pastor Mike is finishing the series on Paul's declaration in Philippians, "I want to know Christ". This week we are speaking on the mindset of being "Heavenly Minded". If we are going to be like Christ, we need to think like Christ, and Christ is seated in Heavenly places so that's where our mind needs to be focused. We are reminded that we are to place our treasures or the things that mean the most to us in Heaven and not on earth. When we're able to do that amazing things can begin to happen here on earth because that means we are putting God first and He promises to take care of all of our needs thereafter... This takes trust and perseverance but assuredly it'll be worth it in the end. One thing we know, if our treasure is in heaven, then every day we live through here on earth is one day closer to our treasure, that gives some immediate gratification while we are longing for what God has in store in Heaven. Pastor Mike continues in the short series on "Knowing Christ" as Paul taught us to. This week we are taught what it means to be "forgetful" in the areas that hinder our spiritual growth in the future. There are both good and bad things we are to forget to help us know Christ better as we move forward in our lives. You might wonder why we are to forget the good things God has blessed us with, but we are IF they become an area that pulls us back into the past rather then pushes us forward into the future of what God wants for us... Then clearly there are the bad things that we need to forget about and more importantly FORGIVE ourselves for. We spend most of the day discussing this as the enemy works very hard keeping people in bondage over our past mistakes when all along God has already forgiven us.... Knowing Christ is a process of learning to discipline ourselves and to understand how important it is to create, maintain and guard a spiritually thirsty and hungry condition in our hearts while we learn to be content with our worldly gains and conditions...

This week Pastor Mike is beginning a new series on what it means "To Know Christ" in the way the Paul desired to in his life. Paul has a mid to end of life revelation that he "Wants to Know Christ" better then he currently does... And if that's the case, then how much more should we as followers of Jesus 2000 years later want and need that so much more? But the question is, do you? What is your hunger to know Jesus? That's a real indicator of personal spiritual growth and maturity. **Special note** The beginning of this message Pastor Mike's wife Chris brings a very welcome message to the body of a new direction of our Christian Education department in regards to being ready for new growth and an overall direction for our church body...

Pastor Mike continues in the discussion of God's Grace by discussing how we live after our identity is declared "Righteous in the power of Christ". Our "Righteousness" is not in our own actions and abilities to gain, it's only thru the power of Jesus and His saving Grace. That determines our identity. Then we live holy and righteous as we follow His example. The light that shines in us is His luminance thru our life into a dark and broken world. That's what living a life in the light of God's Grace is all about and that's "Freedom"...

This is a special day at Center Point when the Lord changed the order of the service and filled our message time with a personal testimony. The Holy Spirit orchestrated this and it's worth every moment. Freedom comes into the life of a believer when we obey the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit. It takes faith to believe and trust to step out and do... However, the message on the forms of God's Grace is significant enough to listen to even with the distraction. Pastor Mike dives deep into the "Forms of God's Completing Grace" and describes the mysterious power of the loving Grace of God. Beginning at the moment of salvation and continuing through out our lives as Grace completely changes us into people that want Jesus more then they want sin... And with that comes the lighter yoke of holy living versus the heavy yoke of worldly living... And is all because of God's completing Grace...

Pastor Mike picks does a quick review of the past three sermons on what it means to make forward progress by looking backwards to move forward, living successfully in the moments and counting the cost of living for Jesus. All leading up to keeping our 'eyes focused on Jesus' as the only way we can attain eternal life. There are many distractions in life that would lead us astray, but by focusing on God's Word and on Jesus is the only way forward.

Last week we spoke about "looking backward to move forward", today we speak about how we live in the moments of life, understanding that many are horribly bad. How do we make it thru those times?
