These problems keeps us in the helpless mentality so we are always in need, need, need. We struggle with supporting the advancement of our people and tend to support kicking them when they are down. We tend to over fixate on the trials and tribulations our people instead of learning and growing from them. Through various conversations I’ve had this week I’ve referenced Black Wall Street a few times and my colleagues have been literally hit with confusion. White washing aka story telling have created a skewed perception of life that people have internalized to be truth. Ignorance is purposeful not bliss, the government doesn’t want to implicate themselves in anything criminal because that would tarnish their image.
